Many commitments are the result of cross-sector partnerships with CGI members and combining efforts to expand their impact. Till date, members have developed more than 2,300 Commitments to Action which have made a positive impact in over 400 million lives. All CGI members are asked to make a commitment by the end of the first year of membership. CGI supports the development of commitments by facilitating dialogue, providing opportunities to identify partners, showcasing actions taken by commitment-makers and communicating results. CGI serves as a catalyst for action, but does not engage in the actual implementation of its commitments.
