An effective network has been established between Karlsruhe and Pune after numerous business contacts, reciprocal visits of delegations and signing of a cooperation agreement with the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, Pune. The partnership entered between the 2 countries led to the opening of the Karlsruhe Marketing and Co-operation office in Pune, and a Delivering Change Foundation office in the city of Karlsruhe.

According to Mayor Dr. Frank Mentrup, the transfer of knowledge from Karlsruhe to India is important not only for an increased perception of Karlsruhe but also to open highly promising options for educational institutions and companies from the Technology region. Dr. Mentrup believes that – ‘Cooperation on the same wavelength leads to synergy, creating a positive effect on both sides.’

The concept of “Das Fest [The Fest]” is transferred to India in an adapted form, covering aspects such as Safety, “Green Meeting” and Transport / Logistics which are important points for India during the Knowledge-Transfer process. As emphasized by KEG managing director, Martin Wacker, “Even a cultural exchange program is planned, among other things, the exchange of artists of our respective festivals.”
