The Jalyukta Shivar Abhiyan (providing villages with permanent sources of water) was launched on Republic Day by our Chief Minister, Mr. Devendra Fadnavis.
The Chief Minister Transformation Office (CMTO) will monitor the scheme, while the Delivery Change Foundation will supervise the functioning and effectiveness of this scheme and post progress updates of the area in the public domain before and after completion of the project. This will enable the public to see for themselves whether the work has been done or has just remained on paper.

Also, rural development minister, Ms Pankaja Munde said that the Jalyukt Shivar scheme should be strengthened culturally.
She further added, “The Government is pushing for sustainable farming as farmers all across the state are going through a difficult phase right now. This will be done through the Jalyukta Shivar Abhiyan, where smaller schemes will be linked together in order to deal with water problems which will play an important role in making Maharashtra drought-free.”
