The Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis said, “DCF, through its water lab, has done extensive study on methods to solve the water problem in the State . There is a need for a third party audit to maintain transparency and DCF will do a third party audit of the programme to work towards a drought free Maharashtra. Soon, the State will issue a formal notification in this regard,” he added. The government is also planning to set up a Delivering Management Office under the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) and the transformation committee headed by the CM will keep a close watch on the programme.
